Writing Stickers

I use these stickers for when I am conferencing individually with the students. I call them stickers but I just cut them up and tape it on their writing pages (you can always print them out on a full page label paper). The first one says "Way to cut up your words!" A lot of people usually call it "stretching out" your words but my students had a hard time understanding that concept one year so I introduced cutting up your words (just another way of getting students thinking about phoneme segmentation.)
Other stickers say:
Love your word wall words!
Nice sentence stopper!
Awesome finger spaces!
Super color details! (we talk about using a lot of colors to make our drawings look real)
Great picture details!
Wow! 2 or more sentences!
FANTASTIC JOB with everything!

Love this idea!!! I teach 4th grade so would need to adapt it but love the positive tone it sets with the writing. My kiddos have a lovely state writing assessment so we do LOTS of it!! I am now a new follower:) Come by and visit:)

Oh! I can't wait to use these. I know this will so motivate my kinders to include everything they are supposed to. These will also be a good reminder when they say they are done to check over their story! Thank you for sharing. You should create an ink stamp set of these...

very cool!
For my kids, I say stretch out the words.
What I do is use a rubber band (or SILLY BAND!) and slowly stretch the word while I stretch the rubber band. I have them do it too and it REALLY works!
